[ ] CHECK THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT and appropriate documentation for items that are to be left in the property when you move. Do not leave personal items that were not negotiated in the sale.
[ ] Double check all drawers, closets, the attic and basement
[ ] Mow the yard and pull weeds (in season)- don’t forget to clean up any pet land mines and kids’ toys, too!
[ ] Clean out basement window wells
[ ] Broom/sweep clean including
[ ] Wipe down counters
[ ] Wipe out/down appliances
[ ] Clean toilets
[ ] Vacuum and mop floors
[ ] Patch and paint any large holes left in the walls - small nail holes are okay
[ ] As a courtesy, leave any owners manuals for appliances and mechanicals, important receipts, matching paint, and leftover flooring/shingles/siding/etc.
[ ] Make sure utilities are transferred out of your name on the date of buyers’ possession
